Summer iphoneography

Seems like most of the pictures I take are with my phone.  Here are some shots of what we've been doing this summer.

Visited the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History

A bed of nails!
Completely forgot about the little water feature at the entrance/exit.

Evening walks at a nearby park.

A baby shower for my nephew who is due to arrive within the next few weeks.

Visiting with Aunt Camila.

Swim lessons with Mr Bryan.  The twins made so much progress this year and actually swam.  We're hoping next year they'll swim even outside of swim class.  =)

Week vacation-beach trip.

Swimming until dark with friends
Independence Day in the Country

Fourth of July Parade

The girls did a week of Nature School at the Science Center nearby.  They loved it.  Wish I had pictures to remember it...

Scarlett starts first grade in one month!  And the twins turn 4 in a couple of days.  I feel like I just blinked and summer is almost over and the girls are a year older.

The Ocean

We took a week vacation and headed to Port Aransas.

This year, Scarlett wanted to spend the entire time in the water.  She loved going out far and jumping the waves.

I love the look on Caroline's face in this picture.  She was pretty proud of her kite flying.
Madeline playing in the sand.

Scarlett actually played in the sand.  once...
The twins enjoyed the ocean too.  They actually let us take them out to the deeper water.
We spent Father's Day at the beach. Caroline is the silly one in this picture.

We checked out the aquarium in Corpus. Touching the sting rays.
We got back Thursday night and celebrated all three girls birthday parties at the Howard Moore Pool. Scarlett turned 6 and the twins will be 4 in a couple of weeks.
We couldn't get the candles to stay lit.  The twins were not pleased.

Playing with the balloons from the party.

Summer is Here

Scarlett graduated from Kindergarten last week.  The twins finish up the 3's class this Thursday.

We're excited for summer.. Birthday parties, road trips, baby Montoya arrival, swimming and more...

The 4 wheeler never gets old.

They love making and viewing videos of themselves.

She picks chocolate every time.

Caroline picked one of these Black Eyed Susans and Grandma Tricia gave her a vase.  It is now sitting on my kitchen table.  She walked around with it all day.
The girls like to pick out out their own outfits and Maddy was set on wearing polka dot tights.  We warned her it may be too warm out.   She wore them all day.

This is what happens when I ask for a picture of the three of them. Typical.

Weekend Snapshots

Feeling so blessed on this Mother's Day.

Not only do I have the honor of raising these girlies but we are surrounded by the most amazing grandmothers.
Prayers tonight for expecting moms, those trying to conceive, and single mamas.

A co-worker and friend has started her own photography business.  She's always been so good at taking pictures and has such a creative side to her.
Check her out: https://www.facebook.com/AngelaRilesPhotography

Here are some of the pics she took for us at her most recent mini session.

Caroline.  A funny thing she said yesterday before we left Grandma's house. "Mama, my best day is the day you don't ask me to go potty."  haha.

Bluebonnet Bust

We found a small field but the girls weren't interested.  The field wasn't very dense anyway.

There were too many ladybugs for Scarlett to capture.  Caroline didn't want to get out of the wagon and Maddy was busy snacking the whole time.

Owell.. The weather was nice and it was good to get out and explore.

They wanted to check out the lake afterwards.  We got some sweet snapshots.

My favorite.

The twins were singing a very repetitive song that they made up that is known to drive me crazy.

Tomorrow, we are taking pictures with Angela and I'm excited!

A Field of Flowers

Our plan was for a long walk or ride in the double stroller.  But we saw these bright yellow flowers and I just couldn't help but to take pictures.

Their Aunt Meghan got them these pretty dresses a while back.

We did finish our walk and Maddy pointed out the turtles.
