Family Vacation

It was a very laid back relaxing week.  Wish it didn't end so quickly.  Only took pictures with my phone.  But at least I took some pictures!

We sat and watched the dolphins.

We took a boat to an island where the water happened to be clear of seaweed.  We saw sea turtles in the shallow water near our feet!

The jetty with Grandma Tricia

This was an attempt to just go for a walk on the beach.

We swam at the community pool a couple times too.

It was a much needed break.  The week before our trip was stressful with a sick kids and appliances at the house breaking.  Some times just a change of scenery with family is great for the psyche.

First Camp Out

The girls have been really wanting to go camping ever since we bought our tent over a year ago.  There was a good chance of rain so we didn't go far.  We camped out behind David's parent's house and it never rained!

Neighbor's dog stopped by for a visit..

Long walk the next day..

Catching Up

Since school's back in session, I feel like I've stopped taking pictures.   How do we get so busy? I really love keeping a photo journal of the girls.  I need to make more of an effort!

Pumpkin Patch

Halloween
I really tried to get a costume theme going with the girls but they had their minds made up.  Scarlett insisted on being a witch.  Maddy wanted to be batgirl and Caroline picked a cupcake from a magazine.

Camila's Visit
My Aunt Camila was here visiting from Chicago for about 2 weeks.  The girls loved spending time with her and were quite sad when she had to leave.  They still miss her!
We did so many fun things while she was here.

State Fair ferris wheel

Frozen Yogurt
Pumpkin Patch
My Brother's Visit
Our Boston family also came to visit.  We had a baptism, a large family photo, and multiple train rides.

My parents on the train
My sister-in-law took this picture of Scarlett.  It's one of my favorites.

Can't wait to see the pictures Val took of all us.

Summer iphoneography

Seems like most of the pictures I take are with my phone.  Here are some shots of what we've been doing this summer.

Visited the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History

A bed of nails!
Completely forgot about the little water feature at the entrance/exit.

Evening walks at a nearby park.

A baby shower for my nephew who is due to arrive within the next few weeks.

Visiting with Aunt Camila.

Swim lessons with Mr Bryan.  The twins made so much progress this year and actually swam.  We're hoping next year they'll swim even outside of swim class.  =)

Week vacation-beach trip.

Swimming until dark with friends
Independence Day in the Country

Fourth of July Parade

The girls did a week of Nature School at the Science Center nearby.  They loved it.  Wish I had pictures to remember it...

Scarlett starts first grade in one month!  And the twins turn 4 in a couple of days.  I feel like I just blinked and summer is almost over and the girls are a year older.

The Ocean

We took a week vacation and headed to Port Aransas.

This year, Scarlett wanted to spend the entire time in the water.  She loved going out far and jumping the waves.

I love the look on Caroline's face in this picture.  She was pretty proud of her kite flying.
Madeline playing in the sand.

Scarlett actually played in the sand.  once...
The twins enjoyed the ocean too.  They actually let us take them out to the deeper water.
We spent Father's Day at the beach. Caroline is the silly one in this picture.

We checked out the aquarium in Corpus. Touching the sting rays.
We got back Thursday night and celebrated all three girls birthday parties at the Howard Moore Pool. Scarlett turned 6 and the twins will be 4 in a couple of weeks.
We couldn't get the candles to stay lit.  The twins were not pleased.

Playing with the balloons from the party.
