Summer Instagrammers

With Scarlett starting Kinder in less than 2 weeks, I feel summer is coming to an end.  We've bought her uniforms and shoes.  School supplies are up next!

The twins said goodbye to their cribs and hello to their big girl beds.  We will be leaving the diapers behind soon too.  I've gone through all the baby clothes and the toys are next.

Here are a few summer phone pictures.

Annual Pictures

Here are the pictures we got from our photo shoot this year. We got some of Scarlett by herself this time.
David really liked this one.
Here the ones of the 3 of them. Always a challenge to have them all look at the camera, smile, and be still.

Three

We celebrated Caroline's and Madeline's 3rd birthday in Whitney with family and friends.  It was perfect.  Everyone had a great time.

The twins loved the idea of a superhero party.  Now they have an actual cape they can use and my dish towels can stay in the kitchen.
It's a serious job being supergirls...
Caroline waiting patiently for cake.
Printed the free banner from ruffledblog.  Those are my treat cones I tried to make the morning of the party, filled with Pirate's Booty.  One of the twins told me it tasted stale..  Owell...  The cake was from Leslie at Eaton Cakes and it was really tasty!

To the rescue..
This picture makes me laugh..
David made some really good pork tacos.
Lots of sweet family moments... Scarlett and Yaya...
3 candles for each..
We played outside..
Madeline would giggle every time she got a kiss from one of the dogs.
A storm was brewing.
But the party kept going.  The twins got to test out their new rain gear Grandma Tricia and Papa Jamie got them.
David and James helped the girls play basketball.. In the rain of course...
We drove home afterwards and all three girls slept the entire drive.  It was a great day.
Here some random shots the day before the party and some during.
Caroline slept the entire night with the balloon.

I woke up early the day of the party to set up and couldn't help myself.. Luckily she didn't wake up.
They were so excited to show me this little guy.  Isn't he cute?!

The girls are so affectionate.  I often find them like this..
Happy 3rd Birthday sweet girls!!  We love you so much.

Fancy Pants

When Val moved, I started following Bella Jewel Photography on facebook hoping for a mini session that would work for us.  There was a post about needing 2 year old twins for a commercial shoot.  So, I jumped at the chance for some FREE photos!  The girls got to model clothes from Glam R Baby.  They had fun even if I woke them up for an early shoot the day after we got back from Colorado.  =)

The outfits were fun and over the top.  They were prepared to be fancy like Fancy Nancy.
Caroline in blue.
A little shy at first but they really opened up. Of course, Jeanine was really laid back and easy to work with.
Love this same one in black and white.

1-2-3 Jump!

Madeline in Pink.
So fun. Looking forward to our mini session tomorrow which was completely last minute.  I'm one of those moms that loves a million pictures of her kids and shares them.  =)

Five

Scarlett will be five tomorrow.  That is crazy.  She is growing up so fast.

We celebrated at the science center near our house.
I remember taking Scarlett to the science center when she was just 2.  It being so close to the house we would go often.  She remembers having picnics there with Yaya while I was on hospital bedrest.

Digging into the party favors.
She liked the idea of a rainbow cake.  Melanie, a friend and coworker,  had never actually made one before.
It was a pretty darn cute cake and delicious!
Misty led an animal exploration which the kids loved.  They got to learn about reptiles and amphibians.  They all got to touch the animals.
All the smiley pics came out blurry.  Bad lighting and too much movement.  But the kids were having fun!
A snake!

Then they were off to catch fish from the pond.

One of her sweet friends came straight from a dance recital and brought Scarlett a rose.
Having fun with Uncle Sergio.

 Now she's five.
She's also kind... she's funny...she gives me hugs... she loves crafts, painting, and collecting treasures.

I love her. =)
Happy birthday, Scarlett!
