Christmas School Programs

Caroline and Madeline... Not a whole lot of singing... Poor Caroline was not feeling well and later that day she came down with a horrible stomach virus which then spread to her sisters and had all three girls home sick for a week.

But all the kiddos looked really cute on stage.  I love preschool programs and I especially love the Christmas program.
Scarlett had her school's Christmas program later that same day.  Scarlett was center stage singing and dancing.  She really just came right out of her shell.  I loved it!
Waiting to go on stage.  Her bestie, Addison, on her right.
Most kids wore their uniforms.  We found out at last minute the attire.  Scar just wore her dress from last year.

Thanksgiving in Boerne

We spent Thanksgiving with David's brother and family in Boerne (near San Antonio).

The girls ADORE their cousin James. We all do.

They could sit and watch him play basketball for hours.
We went to the Boerne's town festival.  Another petting zoo, face painting, and the big guy in the red suit was there.
They couldn't wait to see him.  It was fun watching their excitement as we waited our turn in line.
Wish I had taken more pictures.  I've been really bad at using the big camera lately.

Gingerbread House Decorating and Christmas Card Pictures

Our 3rd annual Gingerbread House decorating...
It was pretty funny at first.  The girls would sneak around and take a bite of candy.  Sometimes, they would eat a piece under the table.  Towards the end, there was very little hiding...
Scar wanted almost no help from mom.  She's getting so independent.

We took our Christmas pictures at a park near the house (by Valerie-Cannon-Photography).  It just so happened that there was a petting zoo, face painting, and bounce house that day.
Our favorite photos from the session.

Halloween

They were so excited for Halloween this year.  All three wanted to be "pink princesses".  We gently suggested other costumes (or even different colors) but they wouldn't have it any other way.

We had a big group of kids trick or treating.  They were chanting "we want candy", while they waited for the adults to get ready.  I remember seeing big smiles on all their little faces.

These pictures make me laugh..
The princess pose... with the hats that wouldn't stay....
C wanted a crown.  Love that she wanted to be different!

It was a lot of fun!  Then we all got sick and had to take antibiotics.  =)

This past weekend, Vanessa invited us to a family picnic.  The weather was perfect!  Again,  my camera settings were off and I didn't pay any attention.  Owell.... live and learn....

They are best friends.  All three of them!

Pumpkins

We let the girls' pick out their pumpkins at a church near by.  One of the dials on my camera moved and I didn't notice.  I keep thinking we'll hit up one of the big pumpkin patches or the Dallas Arboretum and then I'll get my picture..... Owell, these will have to do...

While Scarlett was at school, the twins and I went on adventure.  They took turns being the leader and at one point they walked side by side so that they could each lead together.

Come on, mom!

Port A in October

Scarlett's always asking if we could go to the beach again.  We figured it was a good time since she had 2 days off of school and cooler temps were coming.  We actually only had one day of warm swimming weather but they didn't mind.  Scarlett didn't mind that I forgot her suitcase at home either.  oops!

Making pies.
Looking for treasures.

They love everything about the beach.  The water,  mud,  and sun is all right with them.

Then,  the front came and we spent the day at the aquarium and eating fresh seafood. The next day we hit the beach before driving home.  It was pretty cool out but the girls still got wet and had fun playing.

They run around so much.  It's great exercise!

Making a birthday cake.

I'm glad that I've got these candid pictures of the kids playing, imagining, and concentrating.  When they're grown up, they can look back at these pictures of their cute little selves.  I'm pretty sure they won't remember these trips later on.
