Some Scenes From The Weekend

We've been spending a lot of our time outside enjoying this spring like weather.  River Legacy Park is so close to the house and filled with trails and this bridge.
The weeds are blooming.  My girls love picking "flowers".
We finally bought a play set for the backyard.  I've been enjoying the swings myself.
The highlight of my morning was when I turned to see C & M walking hand and hand in their dress up costumes outside.  They were playing "princess mommy and princess daddy".
They play so well together.  It so much fun to watch them!
I love listening to them wake up.  They play happily in their cribs until I slowly make my way in.  And I'm greeted with big smiling faces.
We introduced Mary Poppins to Scarlett.  She watched the whole thing from start to finish and has watched in every single day since.
Scarlett had a patriotic program at school not to long ago.  They sang the first verse of America the Beautiful.  Tonight, the twins asked me to sing it to them before bed.  They new a lot of the words.

A Princess Tea Party

Stacie found a really good deal through Groupon to Chelsea's Tea Room in Arlington.  Scarlett was invited to join Allie, her best friend, and she got to feel like a true princess.
First, they got their nails and make up done.
Next, they got to pick out their princess dress.  Stacie and I picked out our favorite ones, but the girls had their minds set.
A little tea...

There was a princess carriage.

Such a blast.  Thanks Stacie!

My Sweet Valentines

Yaya surprised the girls with balloons on V-day.
We made these silly "I've got my eyes on you" cards.
 Scarlett's school party.
Sisters love picking Scarlett up from school and crashing all the parties.  I love to watch Scarlett take care of them.  She shared her candy with them and even wiped Caroline's face clean.

Some other random bits and pieces.
Caroline and Maddy playing school.  C was the teacher and was quizzing M.
Caroline: "sshh, baby is sleeping"
up to no good...
My girls can be found in front of the mirrors while out shopping.
Overheard M telling C.."no peeking, Caroline" "It's in the legos, don't look there."
"Boo"

This is the year

2012 is going to be great! More organizing, more quality time with the family, and more healthy living.

Snap shots of a recently awesome weekend.  Which included fire works, smores,  and listening to coyotes.
Can't believe the changes I'm seeing in Scarlett.  She's becoming more and more independent.  How does a 4 year old who's never slept in her own bed decide to do just that all on her own?  Maybe I'll just sneak into her bed.  =)
My sweet Caroline. That girl can snuggle! I love her laid back ways.
